Game on...

Looks like they'll be playing hockey again in the Fall.

I just might be the only person (ootside Canada) who remembers or misses ice hockey...

the Hockey Hot Bed of the North East known as the City of Brotherly love is highly optomistic about the return on the greatest game on earth. The 2005-2006 Flyers are ready and eagerly awaiting the start of what is touted to be another star-stacked team ready to make another Cup run. As JR said in an interview yesterday on DNL, the Flyers are the odds on favorite to come out of the east and win the cup. Let us hope his predictions are correct. After the Flyers get rid of Amonte and LeClair, they will have room to get Neidermeir (sp) from the Devils, and sign their 2003 draft picks (Carter and Richards). AFter that, we can only hope that brains behind this operation will make a few more moves to sign a couple of the seemingly huge list of unrestricted free agents. The core of champions are in place, and the Flyers look like the team to beat this year. Lets hope for the best.

I for one can't wait until the NHL comes back. For all of you who don't like Hockey, turn on ESPN, cause they don't cover it at all. For all of you who do love the sport, turn to Spike TV this fall, cause they are making a serious bid at NHL Broadcasting Rights. Take a hike ESPN, the over-hyped, poorly produced HR Derby shows how ESPN is no longer about coverage, it is a marketing, pr, and advertising hotbed, a machine if you will, that the NHL should have no part of. Lets hope they make a good business decision and move their sport to a network who actually cares about the product on the ice...

(I think I should start my own sports blog) haha

Good luck on the Bar!

Actually, make it three. Even used the same title for my own blog post.

Remind me sometime to share about my visit to the Spectrum (for such shall it ever be named) for Isles/Flyers in 2002. Philly fandom at its finest. As much as I hate to admit it, you'll be in great shape this year. Robert Esche is the best you've had since Pelle Lindbergh.
